Illegal miners killed and pollute.
The Organization Yanomami denounced that around 80 of their brothers were killed at the hands of illegal Brazilian miners who invaded the jungle area of South Venezuela, burning their houses and leaving the burned bodies, without being able to identify them.

Before this action of savagery, rarely seen in the Caribbean country, the Yanomami leaders demanded the intervention of the Government so that this type of abuse and attacks end up, because it is threatening to the disappearance of these communities.

According to the complaint, the events were initiated with the appearance of a helicopter of illegal miners from where fired throughout the Irotatheri community, located in the jungle  sector Momoi, Amazonas State, bordering Brazil.

The Organization Yanomami, which brings together a hundred communities yanomami (victims of physical violence, threats, kidnapping of women and contamination of water with mercury), urged the Governments of Brazil and Venezuela to create a binational Commission that investigated the facts and expel the miners.
