The 2010's earthquake , of 8.8 degrees on the Richter scale and the subsequent tsunami that left millions of victims in a stretch of 600 kilometers of extension, destroyed 80 percent of the houses in Boyeruca which is a coastal town in Vichuquén, to the South of Santiago, Chile, on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Its 300 inhabitants lived always extraction of marine products.

Members of the Colombian security forces suppressed the peaceful demonstrations of coffee farmers, despite the fact that they have the permissions of the local governorates.

The Colombian coffee growers, despite the strong repression, remain national strike demanding President Juan Manuel Santos who treats them and pay attention to their just demands.

Chile: Mapuches recover freedom


The Chilean judicial authority was forced to revoke the measure of prison's Eric Montoya and Rodrigo Montoya, two of the Mapuche Indians from Wente Winkul Mapu, who been two months on hunger strike.

The Court now says that there is insufficient evidence in the process against the two young men, however they change the prison by the measure of house arrest.

The Bolivian Government sent humanitarian aid to Cuba after the onslaught that suffered the island by Hurricane Sandy. This international solidarity should be interpreted as an exemplary gesture of a nation sister and another example of the growing Latin American unit.

The coordination group of the international Environment Council noted with indignation Frentzel-Beyme, Professor, renowned scientist and environmentalist physician, has been  relieved of his role as an expert, only by participating in the second session of the international Environment Council.

A ghost runs Europe - against neoliberalism - 14N




Yesterday, November 14, the social tidal wave was expanded by 23 countries of the European Union. The condemnation of the austerity policies, which the neo-liberal rulers want to apply in the old continent, was massive. In Portugal, Italy and Greece were the biggest mobilizations. The successful 14N will go down in history as a day of mass social response to the neoliberal scam who want to dress like crisis.

Mobilization was manifested through closed shopping malls, people without bags and groups of ten or fifteen people waiting or looking for the next march in which are combined. Even organized picnics in any green space in cities. Also groups of cyclists, of mothers, fathers and grandmothers with carts or with small children, condemning the crisis. Public transport services were restricted. Against public hospitals were hundreds of banners against the privatization. Multiple and dynamic activists picketing informed and encouraged to perform acts of civil disobedience, cutting of streets, etc. But there were also police officers, many police officers.

So how on the morning of November 14 major European cities were taken by hundreds of thousands of protesters showing that another Europe that rebels against the payment of the debt and the so-called austerity measures.

The coordination group of the international environmental counsel has noted with indignation, that Professor Frentzel-Beyme, a renowned environmental physician and scientist, shall be relieved of his role as an expert witness in Envio process only because of being engaged in second Environmental Counsel. Professor Frentzel-Beyme makes its knowledge available for concerned citizens and community groups in environmental questions.
