Guatemala Government get back

People crying to their dead
After the recent death of eight indigenous k'iches in Guatemala, as a result of the brutal repression unleashed by the soldiers that fulfilled orders from Government and international condemnation, the President Otto Pérez forbade the army intervention in the containment of manifestations.

As remember, thats was a legitimate and peaceful protest by the indigenous k'iches, against the constitutional reforms promoted by the Government, as well as the rise in electricity rates, ended with the death of eight native.

The Office of the High Commissioner for human rights United Nations stated that: "There are important elements to consider the death of individuals could compromise the responsibility of the State of Guatemala under the figure of extrajudicial or arbitrary execution".

Similarly, referred to the investigations of the Institute of forensic sciences in Guatemala, confirmed that three people were killed by bullet shots that came from weapons that carry members of the army.

Meanwhile, eight soldiers are detained in army barracks until investigations are concluded. They claim to shoot in the air.
